The Art Base

25th Anniversary Print pARTy

We set up our mobile print shop and had a wonderful evening live printing with supporters of this amazing community art center. This quote was one of the original inspirations for the founding of the Art Center 25 years ago.

Edith Niblo was an arts educator in Denver, CO. in the 70s and produced a small booklet about art as process which Deb Jones, founder of the art center, happened upon during a visit to Tattered Cover in Denver in the late 80s. The rest you could say is history and a ton of commitment, hard work and outstanding community support.

The Art Center now located in downtown Basalt has been a true champion of community art since 1996. Deepest gratitude for having us participate in the event and celebrate with the community. Learn more at theartbase.org

Reina was so excited to develop and experiment with a fresh mono-print technique with screen-printing this quote with multiple colors in one pass. The evening was filled with amazing interactions with visiting and local artists. Each participant was able to print their own shirt and take it home to honor this amazing evening and community art center.
